Dylan Subramanian @dylsub

Hi, I'm Dylan.

My love for building started with minigames I made out of command blocks for Minecraft servers. Now I'm a software engineer at Synchrony, and on the side I build in fintech, blockchain and climate tech. I've won 8 awards across hackathons and game jams. I'm also training to become a professional dunker.

Building this portfolio has been a walk down memory lane for me. I hope you enjoy what I've created and learned along the way :)

My Video Game Development Journey

  1. The beginning

At 9, I started building minigames for Minecraft servers using command blocks.

  2. Leveling up

In high school, I started developing with Unity and C#, diving deeper into industry-standard game development.

  3. Four awards

My games have won 4 awards: 3 at SkillsUSA competitions, including 1st place at State for Smog City, and an honorable mention at Kajam.

  4. Next

My dream is to make my own indie game.

Legacy projects

Everything in this binder was built before AI. They're some of my most special creations. Writing CSS by hand and scouring documentation made me the engineer I am today, so they're well worth a look.

Going into high school, I became obsessed with the idea of dunking, finally hitting my first dunk going into junior year.

In July 2025, I tore my meniscus. I got surgery and spent the next 4 months recovering, just to break my ankle immediately after. I've been posting my recovery journey on Instagram since.
